Commerce City is redefining itself for a new generation. A population that is 46.8% Hispanic decent combined with a low median age of 30.9 tells the story of a diverse and family-friendly city. In the past 15 years, the city’s population has more than doubled from 20,990 in 2000 to the 53,364 it is today. Capital investment continues with community amenities like new parks and a new recreation center, as well as with roadway expansions along Highway 2 and Tower Road to connect these neighborhoods to the entire Denver Metropolitan region.
