Commerce City is redefining itself for a new generation. A population that is 48.6% Hispanic descent combined with a low median age of 32.9 tells the story of a diverse and family-friendly city. In the past 16 years, the city’s population has more than doubled from 20,990 in 2000 to the estimated population in 2022 of 66,115 (source: U.S. Census Bureau Annual Estimates of the Resident Population for Cities, Towns, and Incorporated Places).

Capital investment continues with community amenities like new parks and a new recreation center, as well as with roadway expansions along Highway 2 and Tower Road to connect these neighborhoods to the entire Denver Metropolitan region.
